It’s one of the biggest nights on the music calendar, but Niall Horan – as well as bandmate Harry Styles – were a no show at the BRIT Awards last night.
Despite being nominated for, and winning Best British Video for their hit Drag Me Down, only two members actually turned up for the ceremony.
It’s thought Niall is travelling around Thailand at the moment, so his bandmates Louis and Liam accepted the award for band.
Niall broke hiatus from social media to thank fans for voting for them, and share his delight.
“You guys are a different level. Thank you so much for the support. So glad Liam and Louis were there. Sounded like a great evening,” he said.
Before the ceremony, Louis spoke to our very own Laura Whitmore for ITV2 and joked that due to Niall and Harry’s absence, he’ll be getting rid of their award.
“If we win who gets their awards? We could sell them,” he laughed.
Now we can’t imagine Niall would be too happy about that!
