Last night saw many of our favourite performers come together for a virtual concert. ‘One World Together At Home’ saw the likes of Billie Eilish, Elton John, Lizzo, The Killers, Taylor Swift and so many more perform live from their homes.
The brain child of none other than Lady GaGa, the online gig was dedicated to all health-workers around the globe on the frontlines fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was also in partnership with the World Health Organisation, Global Citizen and supports the U.N Foundation’s Covid-19 Response Fund.
Two of our favourite Irish acts also joined the live online gig, Hozier and Niall Horan. Both Niall and Hozier have recently helped to raise a staggering €800,000 for the ISPCC and Childline.
As they have both already been doing so many live shows online during the lockdown for charity, we weren’t surprised to see them join last night too.
Thanks to @NiallOfficial for the lovely performance! We’re so grateful for your support of @WHO and frontline health workers. Global Citizens, take action now! https://t.co/26xVXSb0qy pic.twitter.com/DblNRX5RL0

Hozier performed a duet of ‘The Bones’ with Maren Morris.
With such an impressive array of performers it was an incredible show, one you wouldn’t even get at the best festival, and the best bit was getting to watch it in your pyjamas at home.
Both Michelle Obama and Oprah joined the livestream with positive and uplifting words for those at home and staying safe, as well as the brave healthcare workers helping us to fight this virus. Oprah always seems to know the right thing to say as she shared a powerful message for those watching at home;
“In every country, in every continent we have seen such phenomenal acts of courage from people on the frontline of the fight against coronavirus.”
If you want to watch the entire concert in full, it’s available online, or it’s also on RTE 2 tonight at 7pm.
