New Irish reality TV show reconnecting first loves is a huge hit with viewers

While we had to suffer a summer without Love Island this year, Virgin Media One has thankfully come to save the day, releasing a romance reality TV show with a twist.

Entitled ‘First Love’ the show sees two singletons who once knew one another (in a romantic way) meeting up and reconnecting, after years apart.

With the gorgeous Muireann O’Connell providing the voice over for the program, the show aims to share stories of “first loves that never came to pass, relationships broken by distance, and the long-lost love of an elderly person.”

The show aired on Virgin Media One last night, and already is a huge hit among viewers, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the show.

Mrs. Browns Boys star, Rory Cowan said:

“It’s a great show. I’m really enjoying it. Great idea for a show; meeting your first love again after years. Well worth a watch.”

While another said:

“First Love on @VirginMedia_One is everything we need in lockdown right now.”

If you missed last night’s episode, don’t worry! You can catch up with what you missed on-demand, while the rest of the series continues next Monday on Virgin Media One at 10pm.
