Nathan Carter’s rendition of Wagon Wheel has been causing some serious issues recently.
A man in Derry has claimed he was subjected to “psychological torture” as a neighbour in the flat above him repeatedly played the single.
Stephen Leighton, who appeared in court today, admitted that he had enough of listening to Nathan’s song, and snapped.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, Stephen, who pleaded guilty to two charges against him, couldn’t cope with the song anymore.
He stormed upstairs and screamed, “If I hear Wagon Wheel one more time I’m going to break that stereo.”
He broke two panes of glass in the neighbours flat, and when police arrested him, he punched one officer.
The judge imposed a four month prison term, suspended for two years, and demanded that Stephen pays for the damage he caused with the windows.
