We got to take a look inside Ella & Jo Cosmetics founder, Charlene Flanagan’s beauty bag!
As co-founder of Ella & Jo Cosmetics,tell us about your skincare routine.
I love my morning and evening skincare rituals. It’s five minutes of the day, just for myself. I keep things simple but super enjoyable with my own range of products. The morning starts with a gentle exfoliating cleanser Brighten & Glow, followed by plumping and firming Wide Awake Eye Gel and Hydrating Serum with a final step of Plump & Protect Day Cream with SPF 30. The evening is where I the have most time so I can spend a little longer pampering myself. I cleanse with our iconic Melt The Day Away cleansing balm, followed again by Wide Awake Eye Gel & Hydrating Serum, then I finish with our retinol superfood oil, Nourish & Glow. Twice a week I’ll do a little mask treatment too.
What’s your favourite beauty hack or piece of advice you’ve received?
My mum is a beauty therapist and she always encouraged me to be consistent; to not chop and change skincare too frequently, do it every morning and evening, to take my time and enjoy it.
What’s your favourite beauty treatment to get done?
An Indian head massage is my ultimate favourite treat or I’ll choose a full body exfoliation treatment. Oh, I’m going to have to go book one now!
Do you follow beauty trends, if so, what’s your favourite at the moment?
To be honest, I don’t and I never have. Beauty is about enhancing what we already have!
