My Beauty Bag: Bonnie Ryan reveals her hero product

We sat down Bonnie Ryan to learn her beauty secrets, find out her hero products and take a nosey inside her beauty bag.

What’s your first beauty or makeup memory?
I used to watch my mum doing her makeup and she had this big black makeup case that felt like a treasure chest. I’d always be picking little bits out of it, fascinated. And I loved watching my dad’s mum do hers too – everything she used came in the most beautiful, elegant vintage packaging. It all just felt so glamorous. I honestly couldn’t wait to start wearing makeup myself.

Tell us your morning and evening skincare routine.
In the morning, I cleanse with something glycolic or a vitamin C to help brighten and control oil. Then it’s Trinny’s eye cream, the POCO eye patches which are fab, and I love Elizabeth Arden’s moisturiser with a bit of their lip balm to finish – it’s super softening. At night, I keep it really simple, just a gentle cleanse and moisturiser. Nothing too fussy, especially if I’m tired!

What’s the best beauty hack or piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Always, always take your makeup off, no matter what time it is. That was one from my mum, and I still swear by it. And if you’ve got a breakout, this one’s gold: pop a bit of powder on first before concealer. It helps it stay on better and gives way more coverage.

What’s your favourite beauty treatment to get done?
I had BBL and Moxi recently for pigmentation and honestly, it was unreal – my skin felt so glowy afterwards. And polynucleotides seem to be the next big thing for looking fresh, so I’m all over that too.

What products make you feel pulled together?
Honestly, a slick of my favourite gloss, good skin, and definitely some sparkle from my new Crystals and Co. collection. The pieces are so chic and just elevate any outfit – even if I’m just in jeans and a tee, a little jewellery moment pulls it all together.
