Louis Walsh stated yesterday that he thinks comedian Brendan O’Carroll should get himself involved in Irish politics.
The music mogul was in Dublin yesterday to judge the Junk Kouture final at the 3 Arena, and while there he chatted with Eoghan McDermott on 2FM about Irish comedian Brendan O’Carroll.
Louis feels that there is much more to Brendan than his alter ego Agnes Brown. He even feels that the Dublin man has what it takes to help with the big matters in Ireland at the moment.
“Brendan is a genius. He’s brilliant. He know what people like. It’s an amazing success story.
“I think he should go into politics when it’s all over. I think he’d make a great politican, he’s very intelligent, he’s not just a funny man.
“He made it happen himself. Because he didn’t get anything here, then the BBC made him famous and now everybody wants to know him…in RTE.”
While on air the Mayo native also dished on the upcoming series of the X Factor, admitting that he doesn’t know who will be on the judging panel with him this year.
“I start X Factor in June and I don’t know who’s on the panel with me if I’m completely honest. I know Simon’s back, Dermott is back and I think Sharon is back beside me. I’m not sure about Nicole.”
