Comedian Brendan O’Carroll – or Mrs. Brown as he’s better known – is heading to Hollywood to work on a new movie project with American actor, Tyler Perry.
Although the Mrs. Brown’s Boys D’Movie sequel has been put on hold due to high production costs, the leading lady is still planning on breaking America, with the help of another older woman, Medea!
Medea airs on the Oprah Winfrey channel in the US. Played by Tyler Perry, Medea is a hilariously sassy elderly black woman, and the perfect partner in crime for Agnes Brown!
Speaking to The Irish Sun, Brendan spoke of the possible film opportunity, saying, “Tyler is a fantastic writer and performer. We are exploring what a movie would look like with both Mrs Brown and Madea and we are laughing a lot.”
Tyler also revealed to the paper that he’s very excited at the prospect of working with Brendan, and that he thinks the meeting of these two women is going to be a particularly funny one.
“The very thought of the brilliant Brendan O’Carroll and I working together has got me beyond excited. And the thought of Mrs Brown meeting Madea . . . hysterical,” he said.
