Like hundreds of brides across the country, model Aoife Walsh has had to postpone her nuptials due to Covid19.
The former Miss Ireland was set to tie the knot this summer, but has had to push the wedding back a year.
“It won’t be our original date, but I know it’s going to be just as great,” Aoife said.
“We’ve officially postponed our wedding until 2021 but I’m grateful my family and friends are safe and healthy and to have my man by my side once again.”
She continued, “Fellow brides, we will party until our legs drop off when the time comes and on the bright side, we get to wear silly veils and bridal hoodies like this for another year!
“Thinking of all the wedding community who I’ve been chatting to over the last few weeks!”
Earlier this month, Aoife was supposed to celebrate her hen party in Spain with her nearest and dearest, but instead, let her hair down and marked the occasion with her family in Tipperary.
“This weekend would have been my Ibiza hen with my bridesmaids. A weekend of lols, sun, sea, sand, cocktails, dancing, glitter, boating, funny stories, matching outfits and big hugs,” she said at the time.
“It didn’t happen. As you can see, I’m in Costa Del Clonmel seeing the funny of it all… especially when I rock out to my dad in the garden dressed like this to tell him the shots are ready. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.”
Aoife announced her engagement in December 2018 after her boyfriend popped the question during a romantic trip to Paris.
