Miriam O’Callaghan is enjoying the holiday of a lifetime with her nearest and dearest, as she celebrates her 60th birthday.
Joined by her husband and kids, the family flew out to Italy over the weekend to mark her big day.
Making the most of their time abroad, Miriam has been sure to check out all the sights and surrounds with her family – and it looks like they’re having a wonderful time.
“I have never had a birthday party in my life – I just never liked the idea,” she told the Sunday Independent.
“But I wanted to do something special this time, so we all decided to go to Rome – the Eternal City.”
Miriam, who sadly lost her sister a number of years ago, appreciates every year she gets to spend with loved ones, and reveals she never takes life for granted.
“As most people know, my sister died when she was 33 and I can’t understand why people look at ageing and think it is sad to be getting older. I thank God for every day I am here on this planet.”
