Manifesting can change your life says The Head Plan’s Denise Kenny Byrne.

And she teaches us exactly how to do it…

Hi Denise, how are you? Are you mad busy or are you attempting to work on that scarcity mindset?!
I’m well, thank goodness! This time of year is always so busy and it can be difficult not to get caught up in it. We’ve made some big business decisions to lean into balance, and it’s made a huge difference. On the personal side of things, it hasn’t been the easiest. We had a lot of loss and illness in the family as well starting another bumpy fertility road. Our daughter Charlotte has been so grounding for us through it all. I’ve been more intentional about prioritising family time. Whether it’s dinner together or just quiet moments at home, that balance between work and family has been so grounding and energising for me.

We love the new Manifest Daily Journal and Affirmation Cards. What are you manifesting this year?
Thank you – I’m so proud of these! They look absolutely fabulous in person, and I’m thrilled with how popular they’ve been. Working with Roxie Nafousi has been an incredible experience; she truly embodies the power of manifestation and has a way of making it both inspiring and beautifully accessible. Manifesting isn’t just a January thing for me – it’s something I practice all year long. I always have goals I’m working on, but in January I always like to lean on a Manifesting Theme so I’ll share with you the words I am really focusing on in 2025 – Growth, Power, Resilience and Letting Go.

Which affirmation are you most frequently drawn to?
“All is well. I am safe.” This affirmation grounds me and reminds me that even in chaos, there’s always a way to feel centred. It’s one I repeat often throughout the day. With my Manifesting Theme for 2025 in mind, I’m also embracing this: “I embrace growth, trust my power, and let go of what no longer serves me.” Affirmations are such a powerful tool for me—I repeat them multiple times a day, and they never fail to bring me back into alignment.

What happens if you don’t journal or do your manifestations?
I feel completely unbalanced. Journaling is my anchor – it’s how I realign with my goals, values, and intentions. When I don’t put pen to paper, I notice a huge difference in my mindset and focus – so do the people around me! It’s such a grounding practice for me; without it, I feel disconnected from my vision and myself.

What do you think about ‘manifest’ being Cambridge Dictionary’s Word of the Year for 2024?
I’m thrilled! It’s a testament to how people are embracing the power of mindset and intentionality in shaping their lives. I have been embracing it for over 20 years… how everyone is not on board yet is beyond me! A few years ago, I think you will agree, it was a word that many would eye roll at… now look at us all. Manifest. Manifest. Manifest!

What did your vision board look like this year?
I am a huge believer in vision boards. We finally launched The Goal Setting and Vision Board Masterclass on TheHeadPlan.com and an exclusive Vision Board kit in our Kildare Village pop up so looks like many more will be vision boarding this year too with thousands already downloaded! I share all of how I vision board in that masterclass – I section it under pillars. It’s a mix of personal and professional goals. If you follow me online, you’ve probably seen it coming to life bit by bit—each goal is meaningful to me. I will give you a snapshot here. In business I had images of; Dragons Den – still can’t believe this happened! The Late Late Show, The Kildare Village Pop Up, Retailers, The New Roxie Products, The Vision Board Masterclass, a huge project we signed off for Q1 2025, The Theme of Balance, targets etc. On the personal side of things I had images that represented exercise, balance, family time, connection, memories, health, wellness, fertility, holidays, house projects.

Do you like or dislike January?
I love it. I love the new found motivation that it brings for so many. January is full of possibility—a clean slate and a chance to refocus. LEAN INTO IT. Think about what you want. Think about what will make this year great. Write it down and make it happen!

Are you a resolution person or not?
I’m a goals person. Resolutions can feel rigid, but setting meaningful goals makes them achievable and inspiring. I will go as far in saying – setting goals will change your life!

On a scale of 1-10, how disciplined are you?
I’d say 7/8—I’m disciplined, but I also leave room for flexibility. I shared a lesson online recently that really resonates with me – Discipline makes today hard, but tomorrow easy!

What’s your greatest strength/ weakness?
My greatest strength can feel like a weakness at times: my sensitivity and empathy, which help me connect with others deeply. My weakness is my perfectionism—it’s a double-edged sword!

What’s the plan now?
I spent the last 12 months putting a lot of ground work in both my business and personal life that will come to surface this year. In business we’ve got an exciting new collaboration launching and some very big changes on the horizon for The Head Plan. There has been a lot of work in the background and I can’t wait to show everyone. In my personal life I really want to focus on family and connection. 2024 was a difficult year personally so in 2025 I am all about my words – Growth, Power, Resilience and Letting Go and honouring everything that aligns to them.
