Metallica have made generous donations to both the Capuchin Day Centre in Dublin and ISPCC Childline following their Slane gig last weekend.
The heavy metal band shared pictures on their ‘All Within My Hands Foundation’ Instagram page of them holding two cheques, worth €35,000 each.
Captioning their ISPCC donation, the band said: “All the fans who attended #MetAtSlaneCastle last night helped raise this money for @ispcc_childline and their work providing a range of services directly to children and families and advocating for change to enhance the lives of children in Ireland.”
The band had earlier announced their donation to Dublin’s Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People, stating:
“This leg of @metallica’s #WorldWired Tour starts with a special bonus donation during rehearsal to the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People where they welcome people in need of food aid who have no home or are socially excluded and provide care with respect and dignity.”
