Meet the two Irish architects hoping to win Netflix’s brand new competition series

Being in quarantine for so long means that many of us have made our way through our ‘to watch’ list, leaving us with little to entertain ourselves with.

However, we have good news for all telly-addicts, as a brand new competition series is being added to the streaming service Netflix on Monday, the 18th of May, and there are two Irish hopefuls looking to be crowned champion.

In similar vein to The Great British Bake-off, The Big Flower Fight’ will see ten pairs of passionate amateur gardeners create spectacular, large-scale flower installations. All in the hopes of winning a chance to design their own sculpture at London’s Royal Botanic Gardens.

At this given moment, many of us are rolling up our sleeves and trying our hand at gardening, so the show is sure to provide us with some entertainment along with some green-fingered inspiration.

In amongst the ten pairs of hopefuls are Dublin-based Landscape Architects Declan and Eoghan. The two met eight years ago when they were studying alongside one another in University College Dublin, and have continued to work alongside one another in the field of landscaping since.

Judged by florist to the star Kristen Griffith-VanderYacht, and hosted by both Vic Reeves and Natasia Demetriou, the series is made up of 8 episodes, each of which is said to be packed with feel-good entertainment, sure to get your heart racing.
