Maura Higgins has confirmed she’ll be popping on her skates this winter, as she takes part in the new series of Dancing on Ice.
The Longford lady, who rose to fame after appearing on Love Island earlier this summer, will be back on our screens in a matter of weeks as she takes part in the ice skating competition.
Announcing the news on social media, Maura said, “Cat’s out of the bag! Wow, I just can not contain my excitement!”
She went on to say, “I can’t wait to get started. I’m so excited for all the costumes and getting glam, but I’m also really nervous about the lifts and the headbanger – oh my God, it’s nerve-wracking.
“My goal is to get far in the competition; I’m very competitive. I want to perform the bolero, so hopefully, I get there.”
Last year, former Isander Wes Nelson made it all the way to the final of the show.
He was up against James Jordan and Sara Alto, but sadly just missed out on lifting the trophy.
Let’s hope our Longford lass gets that opportunity!
