Maura Higgins is the Queen of Love Island, so for a new islander to get her approval says a lot.
And so it seems this year’s series will be the best one yet, because Maura’s close friend Leah Taylor has entered the villa, and needless to say, Maura approves.
Jess was announced as a new bombshell, along with Charlotte Sumner, in the preview of tonight’s episode.
Taking to Instagram, the Longford lady shared her support for her pal, writing: “SCREEEEMMMIINNNGGG!!!!! FINALLY @leahjtaylorr.”
The model also shared a glimpse at the girls’ goodbye, before Jess left for Mallorca: saying: “The last goodbye go smash it my girl [Leah].”
Jess opened up about their friendship before walking through the villa doors.
Saying: “My favourite thing I’ve ever watched is Maura’s [Higgins] best bits, she’s one of my best friends so we watched it together one night and couldn’t stop laughing, she’s hilarious.”
But Maura isn’t Jess’ only famous friend, as the former dancer worked with plenty of A-listers during her career.
“When I was a dancer, I actually danced at the EMAs and danced for Rita Ora and Camila Cabello,” she shared.
Maura isn’t even her only Love Island connection, as Leah previously dated, Maura’s villamate, Danny Williams.
The pair appeared on the 2019 season together, but sparks never flew. In 2020, Danny and Leah began seeing each other, even heading a romantic trip to Iceland.
But their romance was short lived, and the couple called it quits not long after.
