She’s a busy gal!
Maura Higgins has come a long way since her days on Love Island.
The Longford native took part in the 2019 series of the reality dating show, eventually making it to the final with ex Curtis Pritchard.
Since then, she has gone on to have a lucrative presenting career both at home and abroad. Right now, she’s working as Social Media Ambassador for the Love Island Games, and we’ve no doubt that she’ll be appearing on our screens for a long time to come!
Maura does, however, still keep in touch with some of her fellow Love Islanders.
Speaking at the Beauty Awards in the UK this week, the star told The Sun that she’s still friendly with three of her fellow islanders – Molly Mae Hague, Tommy Fury, and Francesca Allen, who she speaks to quite “a bit.”
“Other than that, that’s probably it,” she said.
Maura did have a run-in with ex Curtis while filming the Love Island Games though – and the pair managed to style out the awkwardness excellently.
Speaking to Kem Cetinay on Capital Late Show at the time, she said: “Do you know what, like, everyone’s very excited about this because obviously they know that I would have had to interview him like, if he gets dumped from the show or if he makes the final.
“So yeah, we could have a run in there. So yeah, I mean, I don’t know how much I can say but ….it was interesting.”
She went on to say: “There is an interview. Like, I don’t really know if I can say that or not. But I mean, there is an interview and I’m trying to think back like how it went like I think it was okay, I think I was nice. I think.
“I think there might have been moments where I wasn’t too… polite, but I think I made it more of a joke.”
Queen behaviour.
