Maura Higgins has shared the sweetest tribute to her mum Sharon, praising her for all she has done over the years.
The pair reunited in Longford over the weekend, where they enjoyed some quality time together.
Posting a gorgeous snap of mother-daughter duo, Maura gushed, “I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me.”
During Maura’s time on Love Island this summer, her mum Sharon was her biggest supporter.
Speaking to VIP Magazine while she was still in the villa, the proud mum beamed, “She’s doing extremely well.
“Sometimes Maura can be misunderstood because she is so honest, so the public can be swayed with a single word or comment.
“It took some people a while to figure her out, but now they have, so I’m happy. What you see is what you get with Maura; straight and to the point.”
She was also delighted Maura found happiness with Curtis Pritchard during their time in the villa, telling us, “He would be very welcome to Longford for a cuppa and a bun any time!”
Since leaving the show, the pair have continued to date, but they’ve yet to publicly make their relationship official.
