Maura Higgins has been one busy lady, spending the last weeks of summer in Fiji working as social ambassador for Love Island USA.
But now she is back in her base in the UK, and catching up with some old friends. Including this year’s Love Island star Leah Taylor.
The model has been close friends with Leah for a number of years, and Maura was quick to show her support for the dancer when she entered the villa this summer. However, the Longford lady jetted off to take on her new job while Leah was still in the villa, so they weren’t able to catch up.
Until now that is, as the girls have reunited. Maura and Leah met up for a day out in Oxfordshire’s Soho Farmhouse.
Sharing a snap from their reunion, Leah wrote: “Back with my angel.”
Maura then re-shared Leah’s post. They were joined by mutual friend Sophia Laura, and pup Arlo.
The girls, no doubt, caught Maura up on all she’d missed while working on Love Island USA, and there was plenty to chat about, especially Leah’s time in the villa.
The Manchester girl sparked a connection with semi-professional footballer Montel. The pair were in the villa for three weeks, and even stayed loyal during Casa Amor. However, they were eliminated on week six, after receiving the second fewest votes for most compatible couple. Leah and Montel then called it quits, shortly after leaving the villa.
Maura was quick to show her support for Leah as she joined Love Island this year.
Taking to Instagram, Maura shared her support for her pal, writing: “SCREEEEMMMIINNNGGG!!!!! FINALLY @leahjtaylorr.”
The model also shared a glimpse at the girls’ goodbye, before Leah left for Mallorca: saying: “The last goodbye go smash it my girl [Leah].”
Leah opened up about their friendship before walking through the villa doors.
Saying: “My favourite thing I’ve ever watched is Maura’s [Higgins] best bits, she’s one of my best friends so we watched it together one night and couldn’t stop laughing, she’s hilarious.”
But Maura isn’t Leah’s only famous friend, as the former dancer worked with plenty of A-listers during her career.
“When I was a dancer, I actually danced at the EMAs and danced for Rita Ora and Camila Cabello,” she shared.
