Maura Higgins, Greg O’Shea and Una Healy are rumoured to be joining this years I’m A Celeb lineup

The infamous show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! will be returning to our screens this winter!

Now that Love Island is over we are very much looking forward to another nightly dose of reality telly and I’m A Celeb is exactly what we need.

Last year, it was feared that the show wouldn’t go ahead for the first time since it began due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show is usually filmed in the Australian jungle and travel restrictions and fear of spreading the virus were large obstacles.  As an alternative, it was held in Gwrych Castle in Wales, which will host the celebrities this year as well.

Fans were delighted the show was going ahead last year and the medieval theme went down a treat in the castle setting.

Irish viewers are keen to see some familiar faces in the castle this year as the cast of the show is usually predominantly British.

A few stars who’ve been tipped to be in talks with the producers are Una Healy, Greg O’Shea and Maura Higgins.

Una originally rose to fame in girl band The Saturdays and has since become a solo music star as well as a presenter and a mother of two!

It would be some craic to see her in action and we’re sure her children would love to see Una up to all sorts of challenges in the castle.

Greg O’Shea is also tipped to be considering a spot in the castle. Greg obtained his fame by being brought into 2019 Love Island at the last minute, nabbing a spot in the final and walking away with 25k.

He recently attended the Tokyo Olympics playing for the Irish rugby sevens team. It would be exciting to see a Limerick Lad in the castle, not to mention he would crush any bush tucker trial he was in!

Last, but by no means least, Maura Higgins is a fan favourite in everything she does.

Maura strutted into our lives as a Love Island bombshell, ready to stir things up and step on some toes. The audience fell in love with her sass and honesty and she has since become an extremely successful influencer, businesswoman and TV presenter. Every show could use a bit of Maura to spice things up, we’re so down for this prediction.

We’d be happy to see any of these Irish gems, maybe we will be lucky to get more than one Irish contestant! We cannot wait to see Ant and Dec grace our screens again.

Fisheye, anyone?
