It was only a matter of time before a documentary was made about national treasure, Maura Higgins.
Teasing the news on her Instagram yesterday, Maura shared a picture of the show’s trailer, captioning the snap:
“It’s coming….”
It’s believed that the show, titled: ‘Maura Higgins: You’re Joking Me!” was originally set to air earlier this year in February, but was unexpectedly pulled from the air to be instead released later on in the summer.
So, what will the documentary be about exactly?
The one-off special will follow Maura as she prepares to compete in an extreme obstacle course the 5km Spartan Race.
“One minute I’m living my Love Island dream, the next I’m face to face with my worst nightmare,” Maura says in the show’s trailer.
“I’d rather stick pins in my eyeballs.”

From the trailer, we also see that Maura’s ex Curtis Pritchard will be featured in the special, as it was filmed before their break-up.
Maura split from her villa boyfriend Curtis back in March of this year. She has since been romantically linked with her Dancing on Ice partner Alexander Demetriou and fellow islander Chris Taylor, however, she has denied relationships with both.
Maura Higgins: You’re Joking Me! will air this July on ITV2.
