“I was a nervous wreck watching it back. Me and Carl were sat there, like ‘You need to feel my chest’. My heart was literally thumping and I’m not a nervous person,” she explained.

“It was a success and I’m so happy with how it turned out and everyone was really, really happy.

“Producers were happy; execs were happy which makes me happy and I’m very happy because I am literally my worst critic,” she added.

Maura went on to explain that although she knew about her new role on the show for quite some time, she still had no idea what to expect.

“But it went better… it’s crazy you’re literally there trying to hold the whole show for an hour, it’s mental and intense and fun and exciting and scary. It’s every single emotion under the sun.”

Love Island Aftersun sees Maura interviewing the eliminated Islanders as they chat about their experiences inside the villa and debut exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

Maura is certainly no stranger to the Love Island world having originally joined the UK show as a bombshell contestant back in Season 5.

Ah, it’s good to have her back!
