Matthew MacNabb has revealed he has tested positive for Covid-19 just days before he is due to appear on the latest series of Dancing with the Stars.
An RTÉ spokesperson confirmed the news saying; “Matthew is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.”
However it’s not all bad news for the Love Island star as show bosses say that he will be back for the second episode; “While Matthew will not be taking part in Dancing with the Stars this weekend, protocols mean that all being well he will perform on show two.”
Matthew first appeared on our screens last year as the Co Down native went looking for love on reality show, Love Island.
Now, the 26-year-old will be hitting the dancefloor instead and it was revealed this week that he’ll be paired with pro dancer, Laura Nolan who joined the show back in 2020 when she danced with Brian Dowling.
Although we’re disappointed not to see him perform when the show begins this Sunday, we are wishing him a speedy recovery!
