Barrister and television personality Aileen Cooper has been busy organising a fabulous fashion show in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
It’s set to be a star studded event, with TV3’s Colette Fitzpatrick hosting the show, and the likes of Alison Canavan and Ruth Griffin sharing their modelling wisdom.
Today FM star and Aileen’s hubby, Matt Cooper, will be strutting his stuff too, which Aileen admitted, “took a bit of persuasion”.
Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine, the Midday panelist said, “He’s tried on the clothes which is something. I wouldn’t say he’s practised but he may have secretly been prancing up and down the bedroom for all I know!”
There will be 10 boutiques featured along the runway and over 60 looks from stores including Frock and Fabulous, Seagreen, Anastasia and Bow and Pearl, to name a few.
Although Aileen admitted that she doesn’t follow the latest fashion trends herself, she is a fan of fashion in general: “I’ve always followed fashion and I would have been quite alternative when I was in college, but I don’t follow trends.
“I buy and wear what suits me and sometimes it’s not necessarily what other people would wear.
“I look at magazines but that doesn’t mean that I wear the clothes as they’re worn in magazines.”
The event will take place this Thursday the 26th of May, in Murphy’s Pub at 7:30pm.
