Mary Kennedy has bid an emotional goodbye to Dancing with the Stars, following her elimination on Sunday night.
The broadcaster and her professional partner John performed a cha-cha-cha to Candi Staton’s hit track Young Hearts Run Free but after scoring 18 points, found themselves in trouble.
The pair lost their place in the competition, after facing Grainne Gallanagh and Kai Widdrington in the dance-off.
Mary revealed she’ll fondly look back at her time on the show, saying, “It was a wonderful opportunity, I’ve learned so much. I’ve been out of of my comfort zone. It was a great challenge.
“I really do hope that people of my age watching it would say ‘yeah I could do that or I’ll try something different or something new’.”
She’ll certainly be missed!
