Winning Streak presenter Marty Whelan has been asked to audition for the highly awaited Irish version of Dancing With The Stars. Although Brian Dowling and Vogue Williams have already auditioned for hosting roles at the show, a third host may now be wanted too.
The 60-year-old previously admitted that he’d love the opportunity to present RTE’s version of the dancing competition, and it seems that he’s now one step closer to his dream job.
A source close to the show revealed that bosses have reportedly said that they want an established face on the panel of presenters, and that Marty would be perfect.
“Should Brian and Vogue be hired as hosts, they’ll be great and very irreverent but RTE have to think of more mature viewers too.
“Marty would bring them to the show. At the same time he’s an experienced professional — perfect for live TV.
“Marty was dressed im- peccably and wowed everyone. If anyone deserves to be Ireland’s Bruce Forsyth, it’s him,” the source said.
