Majella O’Donnell enjoyed a virtual party with her nearest and dearest as she celebrated her 60thbirthday this week.
Marking the occasion, her husband Daniel bought a pink and yellow birthday cake, and their family joined them on a Zoom call for a little get-together.
Taking to social media, Daniel said, “Majella and I are fine. The big celebration and all the things we had planned aren’t happening, but we’re safe, we’re well and we’ll celebrate, just the two of us together.”
For the big day, the pair had initially planned to go on a cruise with two of their children.
Speaking on the Late Late Show recently, Daniel said, “Siobhan and Michael were going to come home from Australia and they were going to surprise her on the cruise.”
Despite the change of plans, Majella is simply thankful to have her health, and to spend the day with Daniel.
“There will be no party but I’ll raise a glass with my husband,” she said on the chat show. “And aren’t I’m very glad to reach the ripe old of 60.”
