Following Sharon Osbourne’s shock decision to axe Janet Grogan from the X Factor in place of Honey G last weekend, Maia Dunphy has spoken out in support of the Irish star.
Maia voiced her frustrations over the startling choice, admitting that people involved in the show need to make it less obvious that the process is fixed.
Taking to social media, Maia said, “Caught up on X Factor news. Seriously, @MrsSObsourne? Honey G but not Janet Grogan? We all get the novelty factor, but that is ludicrous.
“Bah! I’m old enough to know X Factor is a fix, but you’d think they’d make some attempt to hide that fact.”
Janet, the Irish X Factor hopeful had her dreams of stardom dashed for the second time following her initial devastation back in 2014.
The Dubliner sailed through to the judges houses round of the show this year, however sadly didn’t make the final cut.
Sharing a video on social media, Janet admitted that while she’s disappointed, she’s not going anywhere.
We’re glad to see she’s going so well, and remaining positive about the whole thing.
