Maia Dunphy has revealed her heartbreak following split from husband Johnny Vegas.
The pair, who wed almost a decade ago, briefly broke up in 2018 before rekindling their romance some months later.
The Irish broadcaster reveals they’ve gone their separate ways again, and the split has caused her great pain.
Speaking to Sunday Independent’s Life Magazine, she said, “Johnny and I are not together now. It’s difficult and heartbreaking and a source of daily sadness for me.”
Maia and Johnny share a five-year-old son, and her main priority is looking after Tom and his wellbeing.
“It’s something I am deliberately nebulous about because I don’t want it to define Tom or me, and I don’t want to talk publicly about it,” she said.
“Like many people in the same situation, I’m just doing my best to get on with life under painful circumstances.”
The pair have been living apart for the last number of months, as Maia’s been based in Dublin, while Johnny lives in the UK.
