Struggling to think of something different with your time during lockdown? It turns out Maia Dunphy has hit the nail on the head and has even gotten the approval of NASA.
Maia took to Twitter to share a video of a rocket that she and her son Tom had made together. Writing “Tom and I built a vinegar/ bicarb bottle rocket to shoot into the sky! (I’m available for science workshops and symposiums via my agent). Thanks for the kit @JohnnyVegasReal”

Joking, Maia also added, “I think @NASA might be looking for our number as we speak.”
But as it turns out, NASA did notice the video and even replied.
“We all start somewhere!” with a winking emoji.
“Keep up the good work Tom & Maia!”
Maia also jokingly replied, “When do you want us to start? We’re happy to take a couple of Payload Specialist roles to begin with.”
Followers were quick to share their delight for Tom and Maia that NASA replied, with one writing “Your son’s going to want to share that story over Zoom tomorrow to his classmates! “NASA liked my rocket Miss”!” and another tweeted, “Fantastic of you to reply!!!”
