Lucy Kennedy has opened up on the treatment she faced while working for RTE.
The broadcaster explained that she often felt overlooked by RTE.
She told the Irish Daily Mail, “I was there for eight years, and I don’t want to seem like a bitter fool, because I’m not, but looking back on my time at RTÉ I remember wondering why I wasn’t asked to audition for The Voice of Ireland or The All-Ireland Talent Show or any of these big gigs.
“I was often overlooked.”
The stunning brunette then went on to say that not being chosen for the big gigs had a negative impact on her self confidence and even caused her to questions her loveable personality.
I’d say for a good four years I panicked about what I was going to do next, I actually cried thinking that maybe they don’t like me for who I am, but I can’t change.”
Luckily for Lucy she was scouted by TV3 to present in the Seven O’Clock Show, where she’s raking in the viewers!
Who wouldn’t want to watch the talented, witty Lucy? Hard luck RTÉ – you missed out!
