TV3 star Lucy Kennedy is expecting in December, and she’s opened up about her anxieties at giving birth to baby number three. The Seven O’Clock Show presenter is already mum to 6-year-old Jack and 4-year-old Holly.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror Lucy said that she hopes to have this baby naturally, but fears that she will have to have a C-section as she did with Jack.
“I had Jack at 33, Holly at 35 and when I went into my consultant at 39 I said, ‘Oh my God, I’m so embarrassed, am I the oldest person here by far?’
“And he laughed and said, ‘Don’t be so ridiculous. The average person having a baby now is 41.’
“I had an emergency C-section with Jack because he was breech but Holly was natural, an 18-hour job. I’m hoping it will be natural again but the baby is breech.
“I’ve had both births and they’re both equally difficult,” she said.
Although she has anxieties, the Living With Lucy host admitted that she always wanted three, and imagined being a family of five.
“I always had three in my head because I’m one of three.
“I remember being in the Coombe and we just had Holly and she was in my hands and I turned around to my husband and said, “I’ll have to keep these nighties for number three’,” she said.
