Lucy Kennedy has opened up about the rumours that The Seven O’Clock Show is due to be axed following UTV taking over TV3.
Rumours first started surfaced last week that the hit TV3 show could be taken off the air due to a planned rebooting of the station’s schedule by the new owners.
However, the programme’s star presenter Lucy Kennedy has spoken out, slamming claims that the show will be taken off the air.
She told TVNow magazine, “There was a big newspaper story last week with a headline like ‘Martin & Lucy – Axed!’ but this is definitely not the case.
“We’re going nowhere. There may be a tweaking of the time in the schedule but we’re not being axed.”
The seasoned presented also went on to gush about how much she loves working on the entertainment show with former weather man Martin King.
She said, “I love it! It’s light entertainment and it’s very me. Myself and Martin laugh from start to finish. We’re professional but we do mess, too.
“We’re great pals, and I feel so lucky with him because you need to get on with the co-host, it’s so obvious when hosts don’t get on with each other.”
We’re delighted to hear that these two will be keeping us entertained on weekday evenings for a long time to come!
