Love/Hate’s bad boy, John Connors is set to star in new crime film called Cardboard Gang.
The gangland movie is about Dublin’s crime culture, something that John unfortunately knows a lot about, having grown up in Darndale, North Dublin.
Speaking to the Sunday World, the actor said, “It’s about the crime culture in Dublin. I grew up in Darndale,
“I’ve seen first hand what it’s like at street level, how the small-time criminals try to climb the ladder and the more egotistical they become.
“It’s all part of the gangster image when you get a bit of power and control.”
The 26-year-old will play Jay Connolly, a part-time DJ who turns to drug dealing to earn some extra money and things soon turn dangerous.
The Dublin native co-wrote the film with Mark O’Connor, and it will air for the first time at the Galway Film Fleadh next month.
This sounds like a great film.
