Lousie Cooney has opened up about her “perfect” proposal following her engagement to partner, Mark Sweeney earlier this month.
The pair who already share a little baby boy named Jude, first met online during the pandemic and love blossomed immediately.
Taking to Instagram during a recent Q&A session, Louise shared just how Mark decided to pop the question and how she was completely thrown off guard.
“We had come down to Spanish Point for a few days, Mark was gonna work from home down there (or so I thought!).

“It was a gorgeous evening so we said we’d go for a walk before Jude’s bedtime. We went over to a spot we love and were just relaxing, chatting and playing with Jude.
“Then he popped the question, it was very us and just perfect,” she noted.
Louise then explained how he told her everything he had organised with included a stay in Adare Manor, lunch with her parents and even a nail appointment that her sisters had booked.
“And then on Saturday, he had arranged dinner with both of our families (although missing a few important people).
“It was so lovely marking it with them and feeling their excitement,” she added.
Mentioning the ring, she said that it was a complete surprise and that Mark had actually chosen it with the help of Louise’s sisters and the jewellers.
“I had shown him a few pictures of styles I liked and this is what they made,” she shared alongside a picture of the ring.
“It’s beyond anything I could have dreamt of.”
