Louis Walsh admitted today that he will not be taking part in RTE’s Dancing With The Stars – because the show wouldn’t be able to afford him!
The outspoken music manager was on The Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene on 2FM this morning and revealed that the money in Irish television is poor, and that RTE couldn’t afford his rates.
“They wouldn’t pay me anything because they haven’t got the money, there’s no money in Irish TV, let’s be honest.
“I do (come back to Irish TV) occasionally if I like the show like I did Miriam and The Late Late Show.
“But I do think the show is going to do really well,” he said.
While on the morning radio show Louis also revealed details about the upcoming series of the X-Factor, saying that this season has a lot of Irish talent.
“The talent is definitely in Ireland. We got some good people and we got some very big characters.
“It was a good day, they rolled out the green carpet and I’m glad they came out.
“I saw a lot of new faces, people I had never seen before. I think the show is going to be really great this year,” he said.
We can’t wait!
