Taking a few days off to enjoy the sunshine with her husband and kids, Jennifer Zamparelli has left her radio show in some very capable hands.
Entertainment reporter and show regular Lottie Ryan will be taking over the 9am-12pm slot for the next few days, and can’t wait to get into the hot seat.
Taking to social media, Lottie said, “I’m very excited. I’m going to get to go into studio for the next few days and do the show so I’m really looking forward to it.”
“The only thing is, I’m going to have to get dressed, which I haven’t done in a while,” she laughed.
Lottie and Jen have worked closely over the years, previously hosting Breakfast Republic together, alongside Bernard O’Shea and Keith Walsh.
A massive shake-up throughout the station last year saw the breakfast radio show go to Eoghan McDermott and Doireann Garrihy, while Jen bagged her own slot, a little later in the morning.
At the time, Jennifer told us: “You get very tired of breakfast radio. You can only do it for a certain about of time.”
“You’re getting up at a certain time and your whole lifestyle changes because you’re going to bed so early too…”
She added, “The biggest thing is getting used to being by myself… I finished the show (Breakfast Republic) at the start of this month and I’m going to miss the lads terribly.
“Fortunately, they will be in my life, and there is a plan for them. But for me, it’s just going to be different.”
