Last week, Lottie Ryan became the latest celebrity to lift the coveted glitterball trophy on RTE’s Dancing With The Stars.
The 2FM star and her partner Pasquale LaRocca were crowned champs during the live final, much to the Ryan family’s joy.
Now, Lottie has revealed that her father, the late and legendary broadcaster Gerry Ryan, would have ‘adored’ watching his daughter lift the trophy.
“Ah he would have been obsessed! Actually, probably to my detriment because I think he wouldn’t have shut up about it,’ Lottie joked.
“Yeah, I think he would have absolutely loved every second of it,” she continued, explaining that “he came from a very theatrical family.”
“His mum’s family, the Burke’s, were theatre people,” she told Evoke.
“They owned the costume shop above the Olympia, so glitz and glam was in their genes. So, I think they would have adored it.”
