Lottie Ryan has revealed that she thinks buying a house is a ‘huge undertaking’ in comparison to getting married.
The radio star and her husband Fabio are currently looking for a place to call home as they rent in Dublin.
The 31-year-old wed her partner in 2017 after 14 years together and she says that while the wedding felt like a natural progression, buying property is a much bigger challenge.
“I think buying a house [feels very grown up] more so than getting married,” she told VIP Magazine exclusively.
“Marriage felt very natural but buying a house is a huge undertaking. It’s more than likely the biggest investment and biggest step any of us will make in our lifetime.”
Speaking about the highs and lows of purchasing a home, Lottie revealed that she’s most looking forward to putting her mark on the place.
“The most exciting is the idea of decorating the house. I can’t wait to put a stamp on my own place and look at interiors for days. I adore furniture and lighting so that’s going to be good fun to get stuck into.”
On the more challenging aspect, Lottie says she does worry about ever finding somewhere the couple loves.
“The most stressful thing is the fear that you won’t find somewhere that you love but I’m prepared to keep an open mind and hope for the best.”
