Loraine Barry recently opened up about her heartbreaking miscarriage on Brendan Courtney’s Keys To My Life.
The pro dancer and Dancing With The Stars judge admitted that despite her professional success, her personal life has often been fraught with pain.
Speaking candidly about the breakdown of her marriages, both of which ended due to infidelity, Loraine also revealed that she had a miscarriage on Christmas Eve many moons ago.
Bravely recounting the story to Brendan Courtney, while visiting the Italian home she shared with her second husband Luca Berrici, Loraine said: “I remember standing here and I coloured my hair in here and I had this feeling that I was pregnant. I went and bought a test and I was.”
“I was delighted, but sadly later on that year, Christmas Eve, I had a miscarriage.
“We went to Dublin for Christmas and we were going to the six o’clock mass and I had pains in my stomach, cramps and my mother said, ‘Just stay at home and relax.’
“Everyone went to mass and we ended up in the Rotunda hospital. I was just coming up to three months,” she recalled.
Thankfully, the DWTS judge is now lucky in love, having coupled up with her financer beau of four years, Peter.
The couple live together in a £4 million home in London.
