Lisa McHugh has announced the happy news that she got engaged over the weekend. Showing off her gorgeous sparkler on the beach she shared the snaps to Instagram saying; “Officially the happiest and luckiest girl in the world.”
“I cannot wait to marry my best friend and the man of my dreams.”
Many stars were quick to offer their congratulations with Una Healy commenting; “Congratulations Lisa! Delighted for you! Lucky man xx” and Bonnie Ryan; “yaaaaayyyyy congratulations xxx”
Lisa’s ex Nathan Carter also left her a congratulations message; “Absolutely delighted for you both!! Congratulations Lisa! Delighted for you! Lucky man xx”
The country music star was first papped with her beau in Dublin in March 2019, and the two make a very good-looking pair.
At the time Lisa shared that while the pair are so happy together, they want to keep their relationship off social media and away from the public eye.
“I am with someone and he makes me very happy, but I prefer to keep that side of my life private because everything else is so public,” she told RSVP Magazine.
“I have chosen this career and he certainly hasn’t and I don’t want to put him in a position he doesn’t want to be in.
“It is not really that I can’t share pictures of him online, and we are not together for the social media aspect of a relationship.”
She added, “If we want to share a special moment, we can show it to whoever we want and it doesn’t have to be open to the world for us to enjoy it.”
