Lidl have been forced to recalled a number of products over health risks.
Four packets of Alesto dried fruit have been wrongly labelled, which could lead to an allergic reaction if the product is consumed.
A statement by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland reads: “Lidl Ireland is recalling all batches of the Alesto dried fruit products listed below, as the product labels are not in English.
“The Alesto Pitted & Dried Apricots (Albaricoques/Alperces) and Alesto Dried Mixed Fruit (Meƶcla de frutas/Mistura de frutos) contain sulphur dioxide. There may also be an unintentional presence of nuts.
“There may also be an unintentional presence of nuts in the Alesto Pitted & Dried Dates (Dátiles/Tâmaras) and in the Alesto Dried Figs (Higos/Figos).
“This may make the batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of sulphur dioxide, sulphites or nuts.”
