Looks like we’ve got a little longer to wait for the new Naked Gun film!
Yes, the long-awaited reboot of cop comedy The Naked Gun starring Irish actor Liam Neeson has received a release date but it’s a while away yet.
According to Paramount Pictures, the movie is set to hit cinemas on 18 July 2025.
The new movie is based on the hugely popular television series and trio of films created by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker.

The original saw Leslie Nielson as Franklin “Frank” Drebin, a good-hearted yet gullible detective.
Liam is reportedly set to lead the modern version of the slapstick films.
The currently untitled project will be directed and executive-produced by Akiva Schaffer.
While not much has been released as far as the plot and storyline go, rest assured, if it’s anything like its preceding outings, we’re in for quite an entertaining film.
Just last year, Liam was awarded honorary membership of Rotary Ireland.
The organisation in question is a not-for-profit community-driven and humanitarian service that brings people of all generations together who wish to make lasting changes locally and internationally.
Lynda Bell from Ballymena Rotary Club said the award was offered in recognition of Liam’s outstanding achievements over his career as well as his commitment to charitable causes, particularly UNICEF.
There’s no stopping this man!
