Laura Whitmore’s ex boyfriend Rory Williams has opened up about her night with Leonardo DiCaprio, making a startling confession.
The presenter was pictured with Leo after the BAFTA’s, and made international headlines when it was rumoured she spent the night in his hotel room.
Rory has opened up about that night, and revealed that himself and Laura had already broken up by then but because they hadn’t announced it yet, made things very awkward.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said, “People thought we were still together when the story broke. It made it a bit more complicated.
“I had been out the night before and got really drunk. I woke up the next morning hungover, I looked at my phone and had about 50 messages telling me about Leo.
“I was like, ‘What the f*** is going on’. I’m a big fan of the dude, so our pictures being put next to each other was very surreal. It’s pretty f***ed up. I take it with a pinch of salt.”
Despite Rory’s claims of the pair being separated at the time of the incident, Laura previously admitted that she was in a relationship with someone when it occurred.
Shortly after the BAFTA’s, Laura, who is now apparently dating Game of Thrones star Richard Madden, spoke to the Irish Daily Mail and said, “ I promise I didn’t stay in Leo’s room all night.
“All this attention has not been easy because I am going out with someone.”
