Former Love Island host Laura Whitmore has barely had time to take a breather.
The Wicklow TV presenter has been hosting a breakfast show with ITV ever since she stepped away from the Love Island villa.
Now it turns out that she’s got another project in the works – this time something a little more intense.
It turns out that Laura will be embracing her investigative journalism side in a brand-new documentary series.
The show will be all about trying to get to the bottom of societal issues that disproportionately affect women, and is set to delve into some sinister aspects of online society too.
Some of the topics Laura will be covering will include incel culture, violent pornography, and rough sex, all issues that can be difficult and even contentious to cover.
A representative from ITV shared that the series will show viewers a “new side to Laura” as she travels within the UK and beyond, to explore subjects that “fascinate her and have an impact on our lives”.
The docuseries is set to come out in July, though we’re still waiting for an exact date yet.
We’ll definitely be tuning in to see what the series has in store – watch this space!
