Laura Whitmore has revealed that she’s lost her confidence after being forced to pull out of last week’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Last week, the the 31-year-old sustained a foot injury and didn’t realise the severity of it until she visited the doctor, who told her to rest and not to take part in the Saturday night show.
The seasoned presenter was ‘devastated’ when told she wouldn’t be able to take part, but this week’s she’s returning to the dance floor and although she’s excited to put back on her dancing shoes, she’s not as confident as she once was.
“I am a really confident person when it comes to presenting on TV but I’ve lost it,” she told the Irish Mirror.
“I feel like I’m not 100% me. When you start the show you’re so out of your depth. I felt terrible last Saturday but I’ve given myself a new lease. You can only do your best.
“The support from everyone willing you on makes such a difference.”
The blonde beauty is delighted she’s well enough to perform for the Halloween show, and plans to use her foot pain to amplify her feisty performance of the tango.
“I’m so happy to be here for Halloween.” she said. “I’ve been watching Strictly every year and Halloween is the fun one – you have the hair and make-up and stuff.
“I’ve always wanted to learn the tango because you see it in movies. It’s going to be quite dramatic.
“The tango is quite a powerful face. My foot is going to hurt no matter what so I’m just going to use it. I’ll use it and channel it and there’s gonna be so much rage.”
You can catch Strictly Come Dancing, October 29, at 6.45pm on BBC One.
