Yes, the Bray native has been cast in A Mother for an Hour and safe to say she’s more than excited about it.
Starring alongside Laura include the likes of Tamer Hassan, Asia Argento, Frances Barber and Erin Ainsworth, while Giga Agladze is the director.
Taking to Instagram, Laura admitted that she immediately fell in love with the “heartbreaking script” the minute she read it.

“My first lead in a feature, hopefully not my last,” she shared.
“Getting to call this work was a treat and being able to share the screen with some brilliant female talent like Frances, Asia and Erin – Tam we didn’t get to share a scene so had to make do with a Cosmo in the hotel instead!
“Really looking forward to sharing this project with you all!” Laura concluded.
The film follows a woman who lies and says she is the lost mother of a dying child. But her words change her life and push her down a rabbit hole of deceit.
The project, which is already in the works, is being made by production company Goldfinch which worked on the Oscar-winning Irish film, An Irish Goodbye.
While this might be Laura’s first movie role, it’s certainly not her first time acting.
In 2022, she appeared in Danny Robins’ supernatural play 2:22 A Ghost Story, alongside Busted’s Matt Willis.
We can’t wait to watch this!
