If you thought you were excited about the new series of Love Island, you should see Laura Whitmore.
The Bray native was only recently announced as the show’s new host after Caroline Flack stepped down. We already knew she was excited about the new role as she shared on social media how she was feeling;
“I will be hosting Love Island and Aftersun this series. Whhhhaa??? To say I’m excited to be heading to Cape Town to host Love Island, the biggest show on television, is an understatement.”

It seems she was even more excited than she let on as she posted a video of her dancing around her hotel room after landing in Cape Town, which we have to admit is pretty infectious.
She also shared a picture of this years script, and to be honest we’re so excited for the new season that we want to start dancing around too.
This is the first time we will have a winter season of Love Island. The normal summer show is shot in Marbella, Spain but for this new season the villa is in Cape Town for some winter sunshine.
It starts this Sunday, January 12 on ITV2. Exactly what we needed to fight the January blues.
