Laura Whitmore is one busy lady with plenty of projects in the works! Since her departure from Love Island, the Wicklow native has been constantly booked, taking to the Westend stage, returning to the Celebrity Juice pannel, and working on their joint podcast, Partners In Crime, with hubby Iain Sterling.
But behind the scenes has been just as busy, with Laura planning two exciting new projects; an investigative series, and her very own week end chat show. And it looks like we could be close to these launching soon, and the presenter shared a glimpse and the behind the scenes process and where they are at.
Posting to Instagram, Laura showed fans the potential designs for her talk show studio.
Ryan Tubridy’s Late Late Show has it’s signature leather couches, Graham Norton has his red sofa and chairs, and Laura looks set to have red, orange and yellow colour scheme.
With red chairs, patterned carpets, and red brick walls, how fab!
The series will cover lifestyle and entertainment, with each show featuring a combination of celebrity guests and topical chats, when it airs on ITV1 and ITVX this year.
While we don’t have a name yet, there may have been a hint on the set design memo. With it saying: “Laura Whitmore ITV Set”
Her name is stylised with a specific font, making it appear as a title, and we can’t imagine ITV simply writing the names of everyone receiving documents on to the sheet.
The project was announced in February, with Laura sharing the news on social media, writing: “So excited to share this! My own chat show on ITV! Ah sure go on so!”
While ITV confirmed: “Congratulations to @thewhitmore who will host a new Sunday morning chat show on @itv and @itvxofficial.
“Produced by Cactus Television, the series will debut in Spring of this year, with each show featuring a compelling combination of celebrity guests, topical chats and surprise features.
“Laura is a familiar face to ITV viewers and is currently filming her own investigative documentary series, Laura Whitmore investigates to air later this year.”
