Laura Whitmore has landed an exciting new TV role.

The presenter has hosted shows such as I’m A Celeb’s spin-off, and MTV News but this gig may be the most adventurous yet.

The Bray native is set to head to South Africa to present a new survival show.

Survival of the Fittest which will air on ITV2 will see men and women take on challenges in the Savannah.

“Laura is the ideal star to front ITV2’s new dating show,” A TV insider told the Sun.

“She is really excited to be involved and hopes that it will be a roaring success, just like Love Island.

“Her experience presenting spin-off show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! NOW! will come in handy as she interviews the programme’s stars once they’re booted off the Savannah.”

The star will act as a host during the big moments in the show.

“She’ll be there for the launch episode and the final, as well as any other pivotal moments in the series.”

The series is set to launch in the new year and contestants will remain in the competition based on public vote.

Those taking part will be set physical and mental challenges on a daily basis, but with a dating show twist.

The show is created by those who made Love Island, which Laura’s boyfriend Iain Sterling narrates.

We look forward to seeing the new show.
