Laura Whitmore has confirmed that she will return to the dance floor on this Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing despite her ankle injury, which was so severe that it prevented the tv presenter from taking part in the competition last week.
Speaking to Strictly host Zoe Ball on It Takes Two yesterday, Laura said that she will be in pain dancing on this weekend’s Halloween-themed show, but it won’t make her injury any worse.
“It’s very painful, it’s going to be painful on Saturday, but it’s not going to do any damage,” she said.
Set to dance the tango with her partner Giovanni Pernice, the Bray native will be keeping with the spooky theme dressed as Mrs. Death, and dancing to Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones. The dark theme will allow Laura to use her emotions to her advantage!
“I’m trying to think positive and the tango is quite stern-faced, so I can use the emotions and work it to my advantage,” she said.
We wish her the best of luck this week. Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One at 6:45pm on Saturday the 29th of October.
